Describe the bug
Unexpectedly and seeming at random, when I load a video, it begins playing enough though I've previously set Autoplay off in Player preferences. When I then go to Player preferences, Autoplay is checked (enabled) which is not how I had previously left it.
Steps to Reproduce
Autoplaycheckbox in Player preferences, and clickingSave preferences3.5. Immediately going to Player preferences will have the
Autoplaycheckbox enabled.Logs
I haven't noticed anything related in logs.

It just happened again. Is there some way I could set up a userscript to auto-log the values of local storage and cookies? After all, it's not like I'd know to go and check their values before running into a video that unexpectedly begins autoplaying.

localStorageonly holds this values (nothing related to autoplay):Well, I've made a bizarre discovery: the cookie seems to get reset if I load or reload a video page while Chrome dev tools are open for that video page. Only video pages - having dev tools open for a channel page, for example, doesn't cause it. Chrome 109.0.5414.120 and Supermium 144.0.7559.256
I don't think this has to do with a setting in Chrome's dev tools. For example, I don't get this kind of cookie loss on other websites when dev tools are open.
I also don't think this explains the seemingly random times I experienced the settings reset...I'm pretty sure I wasn't opening dev tools on video pages. But, at least it is a 100% reproducible case, for me.
This doesn't happen in Firefox.
I'm sure this has to be something with your extensions, I thought you had no extensions enabled on the Incognito window so check that!

No, it was a fresh default profile with default settings, which is 3rd party cookies allowed.
well, since it's impossible for me to debug it, I can't solve it. If you know how to use developer tools, please record a HAR file so I can import it in my browser and inspect the responses and errors. Thanks ;3

Closing as you are the only one reporting this issue and I can't reproduce it. I haven't received a single E-mail or other people complaining about this, so I'm sorry, I have no idea.
