*(G)old*

Old is the opposite of modern.
In the 21st century, "old" is used as a pejorative to dismiss "old" technology (good, stable)--usually
by tech corporations to justify adding new features.

Old technology is better because it's boring. It is boring because it is stable and
time-proven, unlike "modern" technology that is constantly adding new features, breaking
changes, [bloat](bloat.md) and surveillance.
