+
+Old is the opposite of modern.
+In the 21st century, "old" is used as a pejorative to dismiss "old" technology (good, stable)--usually
+by tech corporations to justify adding new features.
+
+Old technology is better because it's boring. It is boring because it is stable and
+time-proven, unlike "modern" technology that is constantly adding new features, breaking
+changes, [bloat](bloat.md) and surveillance.
