I'm using 2.0-46 (where do you find commit hash?), but IIRC this issue's been around since mic support was added.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Check that your connected microphone is working, then configure it in Cemu. You also need an online account to reproduce this issue.
  2. Make sure Game Chat is enabled. (it's in Help & Options -> Settings -> Audio)
  3. Go to Mini Games and join a lobby in any minigame. Minigames are quite active so it shouldn't be hard. (The speaker won't change colour if you're alone)
  4. Hit -/Minus to check playerlist. Notice that your speaker icon turns yellow whenever your mic hears something.
  5. Wait until you load into another world, either the lobby or a map.
  6. Check the playerlist again. Notice that your speaker doesn't turn yellow anymore.

Other notes

Cemu players can hear Wii U players that have Game Chat on. If you follow the above steps, you will almost certainly notice, as almost everyone has it on. (you can barely communicate at all if it's off)

OK, I believe you need to have more than one player in the game for the speaker to turn yellow - just tried on my real Wii U and the speaker's always grey. You can test this by joining a minigame and checking your speaker icon on the playerlist. (it's surprisingly active, turns out a lotta children still have Wii Us)

Second this. Not so much a problem for just playing worlds with friends since you can just relaunch, but in battle minigames the world is constantly deloaded for map switching, so your mic will just quit working mid session.

Similar thing happening to me as of 2.0-65 but whenever I try to join a game with game chat on instead of hearing people I just hear a corrupted static-y high pitched version of all the sounds in the game.

I don't know what update broke game chat but it worked a couple months ago.
