Describe the bug

  • Does not play video

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Go to any suggestive video
  2. Click on video
  3. See error

Additional context

  • It might help to mark the age as over 18.

Not even yt-dlp is able to download age restricted videos without a Google account. I doubt this can be fixed nowadays.

So yt-dlp does not support downloading videos that are age restricted anymore? (without logging in I mean)

Only if the video is embeddable. This is how it has been since the age-gate workaround was first implemented.

And for now, Invidious doesn't use embeddable videos anymore because it doesn't work at all.

You can report this to upstream Invidious but this is not going to be fixed in a few days and it's probably going to be closed as "Not planed".
