not sure what's the bug or where is it, but here is an example of it:

this video landed in my feed:

going to the channel, this video DOES NOT exist:

visiting YT it shows me:

now, searching the pretty specific video (the 3rd short from above image) I would expect 100% rate of finding it, but that's not the case:

  • title of video: I made a 1 million year timelapse of the stars of Orion and Mount Everest #shorts
  • search therm: I made a 1 million year timelapse of the stars of Orion and Mount Everest #shorts
  • results:

conclusion:

  1. bug1: hidden videos that were not scrapped correctly (?)
  2. bug2: broken search when searching specific titles
  3. bug3: every backend offers different results! but none of them find what's searched!

(my personal thoughts: I always thought of invidious as a tool for bypassing YT geo restrictions - something like VPN for Netflix - I guess that's just not true atm)

going to the channel, this video DOES NOT exist:

Short are bugged on invidious right now but it seems no one watches shorts on Invidious and no one has submitted an issue about it.

It seems shorts search on channels doesn't work at all now.

Seems to be solved. Can you check in your end? https://inv.nadeko.net/search?q=+I+made+a+1+million+year+timelapse+of+the+stars+of+Orion+and+Mount+Everest+%23shorts

yes, indeed. shorts are accounted for on channel page and searching the video title also works now
