Describe the bug
Video playback breaks every few minutes ("The media playback was aborted due to a corruption problem or because the media used features your browser did not support.").
Steps to Reproduce
Watch any video with at least 5-10 minutes of runtime. After a couple minutes playback will break.
Logs
As far as i can tell there's nothing noteworthy happening at time the error occurs.
Additional context
Browser used is Firefox on Linux. I suspect the error might be related to the forced proxying that seems to have been added recently. In any case a fix would be appreciated since skipping into unloaded parts of the video also breaks playback making getting back the original position after a reload quite painful. Interestingly live streams don't seem to affected by this.
Edit: Actually the mentioned error only shows sporadically. A lot of the time the video simply freezes with the sound continuing a couple seconds before it also stops. I'm getting this for literally every video now with the error/hang usually hitting at the 3-4 minute mark. While videos stopping halfway through also sometimes happened in the past it used to be very seldom but for like 1-2 days it has basically become impossible to watch anything while YT, rumble and so on continue to work just fine.
A little update: Sometimes i also encounter videos just skipping to end instead of freezing/erroring out. Would it be possible to remove the forced proxying? It's basically the only thing i can think of to suddenly start causing this and as is invidious has pretty much become unusable to me for anything that's longer than maybe 3 minutes. Interestingly enough i can save videos just fine with zero problems whatsoever though.
Edit: Found another unblocked instance and it's working just fine.
Whatever you did it seems to have fixed the problem. I can watch videos again without them freezing/skipping/erroring out. Thanks a ton!
Cool, I forgot to said it here but I said it on my guestbook.
